Bandung City Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2019 concerning the Bandung City Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) 2018-2023, is a medium for implementing the promises of the elected regional heads that have been conveyed during the campaign to the entire community. One of the promises from the elected regional heads is the Development of Centers for Economic Empowerment and Community Creativity (Coworking Space) in 30 Districts.

Creativity is one of the key resources capable of accelerating regional growth and development. This creativity needs to be fostered through media that are systematically designed and able to involve various kinds of stakeholders whose hopes are to become a center for collaboration that has a major impact on society. Activation of Coworking Space in Bandung City is a program that can become a center for community collaboration that has an impact on increasing the creativity of residents. Functionally, the activation of Coworking Space is expected to be a means of location for the activities of novice business actors in the city of Bandung as well as a means of providing and increasing access and mastery of technology for its users.

Realizing a Coworking Space is essentially not just talking about physical buildings. Furthermore, an ecosystem is needed that can revive and maintain the life of Coworking Space which leads to independence, sustainability, and the impact that Coworking Space brings. Therefore, the '2020 Coworking Space Activation Program' was carried out as a continuation of the 'Coworking Space Initiation and Activation Roadshow' socialization activity which had been carried out in each sub-district in 2019.
